CPAP / APAP Devices

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices are the ‘gold standard’ in the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). They work by maintaining an open airway, delivering air pressure to the upper airways via a mask.

There are two main types of PAP machines – fixed or Constant pressure (CPAP), and Automatic (APAP).  Although either of these can be used to treat OSA, they each vary in their features and functions.  The SleepGP has been up-skilled to clinically assess which device is more suitable in your circumstance.
