Doctor John Malouf saw the need for better training for General Practitioners based on more than 20 years of practice in Ear, Nose and Throat medicine.
As an sufferer of OSA himself, he developed a special interest in sleep and in particular, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea which saw the development of SleepGP in 2013. SleepGP began primarily as an education company to provide specialised sleep medicine training to General Practitioners. Diagnosing and Treating OSA at a primary care level works perfectly with the current medical approach of managing chronic illnesses in a more holistic manner.
Today, SleepGP has grown nationally and internationally, with 10 clinics located in Queensland, New South Wales and more recently, New Zealand where we are piloting a new partnership. Stay tuned for developments.
Through the vision of Dr Malouf, SleepGP prides itself on helping GPs provide a personalised treatment for their patients who suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
